Garden of Light Shiva Memorial Candle – Bronze Plate

The hand cut design depicts stages of life, death and renewal—from seed pod, flowering (Hebrew Shin) growth, to flame/light.  The Hebrew letters depicted at the base of the candle stand for the name of G-d Sha-dai, which means Almighty.  The candle holder houses the Shiva candle, which is the traditional candle lit after the burial of your loved one.  It is lit in the deceased person’s home, or wherever the Shiva will take place. Lighting begins on the day of the funeral, and continues for the 7-day process of Jewish grief rituals which include daily community gatherings, and prayer.  Keeping the lit candle represents consolation to the soul and the candle and light can be seen as a metaphor for body and soul.  The candle holder measures 10″ tall x 3.5″ wide x 3.5″ deep, comes boxed with the 7-day candle and a descriptive tag.  Each one is hand finished, so bronze color may vary slightly.  If the piece is marked “out of stock” it can be special ordered.  Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
