As a preview to the upcoming event for ‘Art for Prayer and Peace: A Bridge to Oneness’ I had the honor of setting up the Shin/Shin/Shin Torah and explaining its deep meaning to interested parties at San Francisco’s City Hall for Jewish Heritage Night on Wednesday May 24th, 2017. I gave out invitations to the upcoming event and met lots of new people.
All of this happened because of JCRC and their willingness to co-sponsor my upcoming event. As a result of their wide knowledge of SF, I was able to introduce this interfaith advocacy through art project to the San Francisco Council on the Status of Women. Joe Goldman of JCRC made that connection. He also helped me connect with Dana Blecher from the Israeli Consulate– which was absolutely wonderful. I met a colleague of hers– Iraina Miles– at the Status meeting. She and Dana will be coming to my home/studio in mid-June.
At the Status of Women meeting I met Jerilyn Gelt who wondered if I’d be at City Hall for the Heritage Night. I hadn’t heard about it. She put me back in contact with Joe at JCRC and he made it work with the folks at City Hall. Here’s what my display looked like at the North Light Court– City Hall SF.
THANKS AGAIN FOR THE SUPPORT!
