Shalom Bayit means “peace in the home.” This mezuzah emulates the aesthetic of a Japanese temple and represents the idea of creating a spiritual space in one’s home. Shalom Bayit, a Bay Area non-profit that provides help for battered women in Jewish homes, originally commissioned the pieced in honor of their 20th Anniversary.
