Great News! As a thank you, and a celebration, I am creating an event at Spark Arts Gallery in the heart of the Castro District, San Francisco— on June 3-4th, 2017. This is the time in the calendar year when the Jewish people celebrate receiving the Torah (Shavuot), and it is also during Ramadan. All of the pieces that are finished from my current interfaith installation work ‘Art for Prayer and Peace: A Bridge to Oneness‘ will be there along with my metal art and ritual objects/jewelry for sale.
Along with the art and ideas there will be a wonderful and hope-inspiring day of learning and understanding— on Saturday June 3rd– by having teachings from several faith groups— including the Torah and the Quran, and some form the Shin Buddhist tradition– and reception with appetizers and wine. Sunday, we plan to have brunch at the space around noon and I will give my talk on the ‘Art for Prayer and Peace: A Bridge to Oneness’ along with origami crane folding for healing the world, followed by the continued trunk show. Here’s the plan:
THANK YOU! Co-Sponsors for the event so far are: The Interfaith Council of San Francisco, Buddhist Churches of San Francisco, and Islamic Art Exhibit. More information about sponsors coming soon.
