Justice and Protection Mezuzah
This larger size mezuzah is 6.25″ long x 2″ wide x .5″ deep.  American Jewish World Service commissioned this contemporary mezuzah for the front door of their new New York office. Their grassroots work for social justice around the world inspired me to create this design. In this piece, I honor their mission by incorporating the Hebrew letter Tzadie (which, in this case, stands for ‘justice’) into an abstract branch design. This ‘branch’ moves toward the top of the piece and frames the more traditional Hebrew letter Shin (protection). Ten percent from the sale of this mezuzah benefits American Jewish World Service. The mezuzah includes an informational artists card, hanging instructions, a paper scroll, and nails. It holds a 10 cm scroll. Kosher scrolls are sold separately.
