Safety Pins to Support the Oppressed

As a granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, a woman, and citizen of the United States, I am appalled by the recent presidential election of Donald J. Trump and all that he stands for. I have read about the rise of his supporters physically and emotionally abusing those who are oppressed in this country. This includes, perceived immigrants, minorities, the disabled, Muslims, women and members of the L.G.B.T. community.

As a show of support and solidarity, people across America are wearing safety pins to signify that they are linked, willing to stand up for the vulnerable and oppressed. I have decided to make my own safety pins, both as art therapy for myself, and to help spread the silent protest against hate crimes in this country.

If you would like to learn more about these pins, or have one made for you, click the image above or here.
**We realized we had to raise the price in order to be able to sustain making them. There is no profit here– except of course connecting with you– and the art therapy created by making and wearing these. Also, if you’re wondering why these are for sale on etsy and not aimeegolant.com– my site is being upgraded for better security and speed. In the meantime, we thought it would be more convenient to go through a third party website.
With Love and Hope,
